I’ve been teaching for as long as I’ve been writing.

My first teaching jobs were at corporations and federal agencies, where I trained technical teams in software development and communication. Over the years that work expanded into corporate writing workshops, creative mentorship for novelists and memoirists, and guiding writers through their deepest creative blocks. Though the audiences changed, the core work didn’t.

How I Teach

I’m a careful listener and a strong interviewer. Clients often tell me that what they valued most wasn’t the feedback itself — it was the feeling of being genuinely understood, and of having someone in their corner who could see what they were trying to do before they could see it themselves.

My approach is personal, intuitive, and structured — never one-size-fits-all. I meet you where you are, ask the questions you didn’t expect, and help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
