How to Work with Me
Whatever your project, we start the same way: with a real conversation.
Step One: Let’s Talk
Our first interaction is a free 15–30 minute consultation — a call or email exchange to get a feel for each other and for me to understand your goals, challenges, and scope.
Depending on the project, I may ask you to send:
- Existing materials (drafts, strategy docs, marketing assets)
- Background on your company, audience, or manuscript
- A timeline or target deadline
If it’s a copywriting or content project, we’ll discuss your audience, brand voice, and what success looks like for you. If you’re a creative writer, we’ll talk about where you are in the process and where you’re stuck.
Step Two: The Proposal
After our call, I’ll send a short written proposal covering:
- Project scope
- Milestones and deliverables
- Estimated fees (hourly or flat rate)
- Timeline
Step Three: We Begin
Once we agree on terms, I’ll ask for a deposit and we’ll get started.
Rates & Billing
My rates vary based on scope, industry, and duration. I offer:
- Hourly rates for short consults or open-ended projects
- Flat fees for well-scoped projects
- Retainers for ongoing work
We’ll agree on a structure that works for both of us. Most projects require a deposit to begin.
Revisions & Collaboration
Copywriting and editing projects include one initial draft and two rounds of revisions. I work closely with clients upfront to minimize surprises later — my process is collaborative, intuitive, and efficient, and most clients need fewer revisions than expected.
Team Collaboration
I’ve worked with internal teams, outside agencies, and solo entrepreneurs. I coordinate easily with designers, developers, and marketers, adapt to your workflows (Slack, Trello, Google Docs, Asana), and act as a creative partner rather than just a service provider.
