Writer. Mentor. Strategist. Performer. Human.
Hi, I’m Warren Goldie. I help people tell stories that matter — whether that’s a business seeking clarity, a writer finishing her novel, or a seeker searching for meaning. My path has wound through Hollywood, high-tech boardrooms, indie publishing, spiritual awakening, and live storytelling. And through it all, one thing’s remained constant: I believe in the transformative power of story.
My path has never been linear.
I started out as a software developer, instructor, and technical writer. Then I moved into Hollywood, where I worked as a screenplay analyst and ghostwriter — including for Steven Spielberg — and as a managing editor at the Shoah Foundation, helping preserve the stories of Holocaust survivors. Those years changed me. I learned that stories aren’t just entertainment — they’re survival, identity, and healing.
I made my way into the business world. Over the last 25 years, I’ve written for clients across the globe in sectors like SaaS, EdTech, health, sustainability, and more. I’ve led brand strategy, content creation, and messaging for everyone from Texas Instruments and Maharishi University to bootstrapped startups. I know how to find the human core in even the most technical story. (You can see my business copywriting background at LinkedIn.)
And all along, I’ve kept writing from the soul.
Creative work that comes from the inside out
I’m the author of the visionary novel Waking Maya (a Kirkus “Get It” pick), numerous short stories, and the forthcoming memoir Be Your Best Depressed Self, a humorous take on life in the modern world. My stage play, Warsaw, about inherited trauma and cultural memory, is based on my family history. My essays have appeared in journals like The Taoist Online, Scrittura, and The Howling Owl.
My creative writing draws from my life as the son of a Holocaust survivor, a lifelong spiritual explorer, and a person who’s wrestled with depression — and found light on the other side.
A consciousness-based approach to creativity
I don’t just teach storytelling. I guide people through creative integration — how to use your life experience, pain, and insight as fuel for something meaningful.
Whether I’m coaching a novelist through their character intros, helping a founder find their authentic voice, or standing onstage performing a darkly funny monologue about existential dread, I’m always working from the same place:
Presence. Truth. Craft. And soul.
Who I work with
- Businesses that want clean, emotionally intelligent messaging
- Writers & creatives looking for structure, feedback, or publishing support
- Spiritual seekers who feel a book inside them, but don’t know where to start
- Audiences who want to laugh, cry, and feel something real
If you’re ready to tell your story — or just figure out what it is — I’d love to help.
